Intended permission
Least-privilege Google read-only Search Console access, customer authorization and explicit property selection.
Will not
Submit removals, alter property users, guarantee indexing/rankings, expose OAuth credentials or silently use another customer’s Google identity.
Planned setup
Authorize → select property → validate ownership → baseline.
These steps are design intent, not currently operable UI.
- No credential should be emailed or pasted into chat
- Connection will be revocable and site-scoped
- Query rows require freshness and privacy context
- Search Console average position will not be treated as an exact rank tracker
- API quotas and anonymized/omitted rows will limit completeness

The intended workflow compares equivalent periods, checks page/query/device context and routes evidence to Search Optimization. Today, SEOForge cannot promise that customer-authorized Search Console ingestion is available.
